About me
Hello, my name is Helen Mynett. I work with adult clients face to face from my therapy room in Central Reading or online. My approach is rooted in Person-Centred Therapy, developed by Carl Rogers. At its heart is a simple but powerful belief: when we are met with empathy, acceptance, and authenticity, we naturally move towards growth and healing.
Choosing a counsellor is a personal decision. You deserve to work with someone you feel safe with — someone who listens with care, respect, and genuine understanding.
This philosophy shapes not only how I work, but who I am as a therapist.
I hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, which provides a comprehensive professional foundation in person-centred practice and ethical counselling work.
I also hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Behavioural Change, which deepens my understanding of how patterns, habits, and life experiences influence the way we think, feel, and respond to the world.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and I adhere to their ethical framework to ensure safe, professional, and confidential practice.
I engage in ongoing professional development and regular supervision to maintain high standards of care and reflective practice.
I support the work of Number 22 in Maidenhead, working with a small number of clients on a voluntary basis.
